 Entrance Criteria 
Requirements for entrance into any course:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have computer, internet access and a valid e-mail address 
  • Students must be comfortable using standard Office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe reader. 
  • The Advanced Management course requires proof of successful completion of the Basic Course first.
 Required Texts 

This course utilizes three standard text books. Students will need to purchase these books on their own. They can be found used through many on-line book retailers. The approximate cost for new books is $300, though most students are able to find used copies.

Essentials for the Activity Professional in Long Term Care, by Susan E. Lanza

The Professional Activity Manager and Consultant, by Anne D'Antonio-Nocera et al.

Aging and the Life Course 5th Ed., by Jill Quadagno (Basic Course only)

 Class Participation in Chats 

This class meets weekly, in an on-line chat. These chats are a mandatory part of the class. Chats are held every Tuesday at 9:00 pm Eastern.

To pay by Check or Money Order, print out the Course Application and send it with all required materials and your Check or Money Order made out to "Activity Pro CDC" to the address in the application.

To pay on-line with a credit card, click the "Buy Now" button by your course selection below. You will be taken to Google Checkout to complete your purchase. Then, submit the Course Application and all required materials to the address in the application. Indicate on your application that you made an on-line payment.

MEPAP 2nd ed. Part 1: Basic Course $550.00
The Basic Course Prepares students for the fundamental job requirements of an activity professional, such as assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating an activities program. This course is 90 hours of instruction and 90 hours of practicum time.

MEPAP 2nd ed. Part 2: Advanced Management Course $550.00
The Advanced Management Course focuses on developing leadership skills and teaching current management concepts. This course is 90 hours of instruction and 90 hours of practicum time. 

 

MEPAP 2nd ed. Combined Course $1000.00
This combined course includes both the Basic and Advanced Management courses, and is 180 hours of instruction and 180 hours of practicum.













 Refund Policy 
Refunds will be granted, minus a $50 administrative fee, if the request to cancel is recieved in writing within two weeks of your start date.
 Course Time Line  
Students enrolled in the Basic or Advanced Management Courses must complete them within one year of their start date. Students enrolled in the Combined Course must complete all coursework within 18 months of their start date. Students who have not completed their coursework at their end of that time may re-enroll in the class for an additional three months for a $50 fee.
