Stephanie Courtney is the owner of Activity Professional's Career Development Center. She has worked as a consultant in over 100 long term care facilities, and has been a practicing Recreational Therapist for over 8 years. Stephanie has both a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Florida, and she is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist as well as an Activity Consultant Certified. Additionally, she is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a certified instructor for the Modular Education Program for Activity Professionals.
Stephanie has worked in a variety of service settings including geriatrics, psychiatry, addictions, and special education. She has served on the Board of Directors for the American Therapeutic Recreation Association, and is a member of the National Association of Activity Professionals. Stephanie has also sat several times on the Item Writing Committee for the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification.
Stephanie resides in Fredericksburg, Virginia with her husband Chris, son Graham, and dog Remy.
